There are a few things you got to keep in mind before you go street shopping in Hyderabad: 1) Never go by the price which the shopkeeper says in the street stores, There was this incident when I had to accompany my mother for some thrift shopping in Koti, where she bargained her way to buy a jute bag for 100 bucks whilst the original price stated by the shopkeeper was around Rs450!.  Always, I stress, Always use this line when you're bargining. It works ;-)2) The best time to go for shopping woud be at around 10.30-11.00AM in the morning, as that's the time when shops open up, and shopkeepers usually have this superstition/sentiment to not lose their first customer. So, you could bargain for the best price and the chances of you getting it at your price would be higher. 3) Try to take a girl with you who's good at bargaining stuff when you plan to go for shopping around Koti and Old city. Shop keepers love their female customers as they're the ones who come there again and again.  4) Try not to be soft, as much as you can when you are bargining.

The more stress you put. the better would be the result.  Most of the  places which I've stated in my answer above like Koti, Abids,charminar, exhibition grounds, Badichowdi and Nampally come in the same region of the city. So, covering these places should'nt be such a challenge. And, as you go around these places, you'll find the best/famous eataries too!. That, is what I call a fulfilling shopping experience, the one with good food and affordable prices.  And BTW, thanks for Asking and Happy Shopping. :-)Well, i don't have much knowledge regarding the furniture shopping etc but I'll tell you few places i passed by.For used furniture (Good Shape to Bad Shape ) you can find them on the left side of main road starting from Miyapur X road to Hydernagar. You can find every furniture here.For reasonable rates, i would suggest the furniture shops near Nampally Railway Station. Never bought something from there but looks like we can haggle to some extent.For Decorative items, i would suggest you to visit Shilparamam at Hitech City.I know this isn't much but this is all that crossed my mind.
