Located on Capistrano Road and overlooking the harbor at Pillar Point is Barbara’s Fishtrap. 

Established in 1971, Barbara’s Fishtrap offers hearty portions, exceptional service and the freshest food in a casual atmosphere.  Their mission is simple: to serve food and beverages at an honest price and to bring the best value to the guest.  One popular menu item is their award-winning Fish and Chips.  Be sure to bring cash, Barbara’s is cash only. Voted Best Seafood Restaurant in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Bay Area A-List is Sam’s Chowder House.  Sam’s opened in the fall of 2006.  They are located on the South end of Pillar Point on North Cabrillo Highway.  Dinner can be enjoyed inside by the fireplace or on the outdoor dining area that was voted Top 3 Outdoor Dining Spots in the Bay Area by San Francisco Magazine.  Dogs are welcome on the dog-friendly patio complete with welcoming fire pit.  Sam’s Famous Lobster Rolls were featured on the Today Show.  Other popular menu items include the Seafood Paella, Seafood Risotto and Cioppino. Located in a building on Miranda Road and filled with more than 70 years of history is the Miramar Beach Restaurant. 

The restaurant, which was once designated as a Prohibition speakeasy, preserves the history today with décor including old photographs of the building and the coast.  One menu item not to be missed is their world-famous seafood chowder.  This chowder is a New England style chowder with Dungeness crab, shrimp and baby clams laced with Sherry.  It is so popular; it can even be purchased to go by the pint or the quart.  The restaurants expanded bar provides a view from every seat making it the ideal location to enjoy happy hour.  Their patio is heated and pet friendly and overlooks the Pacific Ocean.  Thursday through Sunday, the restaurant offers live music from pianist Terry Disley. Princeton Seafood Company Market and Restaurant is a unique destination for seafood lovers.  In 1979, the location started off as a fish wholesale business.  Today, guests can come and enjoy a fresh seafood entrée and then visit the market for fresh fish sourced from local Half Moon Bay fisherman. 

Princeton Seafood is known for their award winning clam chowder and menu items like the fish and chips, house made ceviche and Mahi Mahi tacos. Fish tacos, crabby cheese bread and fish and chips are just a few of the tasty menu items to be found at the Flying Fish Bar & Grill on San Mateo Road east of Main Street.  The Flying Fish was voted one of America’s Best in June 2014 by Coastal Living Magazine.  Flying Fish opened in 1992 but in 2011 moved to a new location with more space and a full bar.  Head down on Saturdays for live music and a Pacific wrap or their world famous FFG fish tacos on their patio.
